Anne was born in Kymi, Finland in 1906, the third child of Robert Ferdinand Lindfors and Emma Katrina Hamalainen Lindfors. She immigrated to America with her family at the age of three years old. Anne grew up in Minnesota where she met Nick Pinter and fell in love. They married in 1926 and moved to Waukegan, Illinois where they raised two children. In the 1940's they moved to Camarillo, California where they built the Candlelight Motel and managed it for several years. Anne also purchased land and created a beautiful neighborhood of homes in Camarillo, which she sold. She built and managed a commercial building in Camarillo as well.
Nick and Anne divorced in 1965 and Anne married Michael O'Brien, a building contractor. They moved to Ventura, California. Mike and Anne enjoyed many trips overseas as well as traveling all over America. They went on an African safari and also visited India. Mike later passed away from cancer.
Anne was very musically talented, artistic and witty. She painted, wrote poetry and was a fabulous baker and cook. She loved to write letters to her children and grandchildren. She always had a cat. Her greatest love was her garden in which she had all kinds of roses and flowering plants. Even at an advanced age, she would still dig in her garden, climb ladders to trim trees and collect rain water for the plants. Anne passed away at the age of 98 on July 16, 2004.
