B F O'Barr, 76, Laid to Rest

Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin O'Barr, 76, a life time resident of Chickasaw County, who died Friday at 9:30 am, were conducted from the Arbor Grove Baptist Church at 2 pm Saturday with Memorial Funeral Home in charge. The Rev. Ira Bright and Rev. Melton Williams officiated. Burial was in Arbor Grove Cemetery.

Mr. O'Barr, a retired farmer and a Baptist, was the son of the late Joe D O'Barr and Elvira Nicholas O'Barr. Death was attributed to heart trouble.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Amelia Franks O'Barr, four sons, Juddie O'Barr and Andy O'Barr, both of Houston, Jodie O'Barr of Woodland, and Leon O'Barr of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters, Miss Syble O'Barr, Mrs. E F Heair, and Mrs. Fletcher Easley, all of Houston; three brothers, John O'Barr of Little Rock, Ark., Jessie O'Barr of Okolona, Miss., and Jake O'Barr, of Artesia, Miss.; five sisters, Mrs. A J Weed, Mrs. Dezzie Huffman, and Mrs. Buck Huffman, all of Houston, Mrs. Henry Criddle, and Mrs. Annie Leopard, both of Okolona, Miss.
