Light, laughter, and love left our family on Monday, Sept 6, 2010 when Zoe Helen Nuttall Nate, 31, answered a call from her Heavenly Father and passed away suddenly at her home in Cokeville. Zoe was born on April 6, 1979 in Capetown, South Africa, to Joseph and Hillary Hibbered Nuttall. She was the oldest of their four daughters, and spent some of her childhood in California, then England where she received her education and grew to adulthood. Zoe received training in nursing after her prep school graduation and worked with the elderly in England. She loved helping them, and grew to love many of them. Zoe's adult life in the United States began with her conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, when she was 20 years old. Following a group of her LDS friends on a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend the spring session of LDS conference, they visited in Cokeville with Elder Kevin Nate who had recently returned from a mission to the London, England South Mission. Although taught the gospel by other missionaries, Elder Nate and his companion were the ones who baptized Zoe. Five days into this visit, Kevin proposed and Zoe accepted to become his wife. She was the love of his life and he was hers. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple on Jan 18, 2001. Married life began in Logan as Kevin attended Utah State University and he and Zoe both worked. They relocated to Rock Springs then Cokeville as Kevin became a mud engineer for MI Swaco in the oil fields. Their first son, Michael Joseph Nate was born May 12, 2005 in Logan. Accepting a promotion into the company office in Denver, Kevin and Zoe left Wyoming and moved to Westminster, Colo. It was there that their second child, Olivia Grace Nate was born on Sept 25, 2009. With the change in the economy and Michael approaching school age the young family returned to Cokeville immediately after Olivia's birth. They had bought and established a little home where Zoe nurtured, loved and taught her two small children. Kevin continued his employment with MI Swaco, leaving home for various oil fields in Wyoming and North Dakota in a two week rotation. Zoe cared for her children, spent time with her sister-in-law and best friend, Katie Martinez and popped in and out of the other Nate family homes in Cokeville while Kevin was gone, When Kevin came home it was nothing but family time for this little family. Zoe was very happy and loved her husband and children completely. She loved movies, animals, and other people, rarely judging anyone in a negative way. Her sense of humor, loyalty and love of her family endeared her to her in-laws and friends. She is deeply missed, but survived by her husband Kevin Kent Nate; her son, Michael Joseph age 5; and her beloved daughter Olivia Grace 11 months of age all of Cokeville. She also leaves behind her parents Joe and Hillary Nuttall of Bournemouth, England; and three sisters, Amy Tammaryn and Kim Nuttall also of England. Surviving her in Cokeville are her in-laws, who loved her as a daughter, Keith and Lynette Nate; David and Traci Parker of Rexburg, Idaho; Brian and Rebecca Nate of Cokeville; Daniel and Lori Conger of Kaysville, Utah; and Martin and Katie Martinez of Cokeville, along with 14 nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept 15. Interment took place in the Cokeville City Cemetery.
