Services for Barbara Ellen Taylor Nutt, age 69 of Chattanooga, TN formerly of Waynesboro will be Friday, January 6, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Cary Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery near Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
A native of Boyers, PA, she was born April 13, 1942 the daughter of the late Edgar Claire Taylor, Sr. and Martha Evalena Potter Taylor. She died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN at the age of 69 Years, 8 Months, 21 Days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Wayne Nutt and a brother John P. Taylor.
Mrs. Nutt, a U.S. Air Force veteran, was a nurse at Martin Army Community Hospital. She also had worked at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center and Wayne County General. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Debra Ann Burns of Corpus Christi, TX, Richard Allen Nutt of Ringgold, GA, Denise Annette Nutt Skaggs of Phenix City, AL, and Melonie Hope Woodworth of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Davin Burns, Nathan Burns, Abby Burns, Coral Nutt, Blake Nutt, Makayla Chambliss, Mikolai Skaggs, Mila Skaggs, Scott Woodworth, and Evelena Woodworth; sisters, Martha Taylor Brown and Virginia Wilkerson; brothers, Wilburt Leroy Taylor, Larry Merle Taylor, Ed C. Taylor, and William Matthew Taylor.
