Ethel Abston was of Baptist faith and was a housewife. She died from complications of diabetes at T J Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY, Barren Co. Funeral services were held at the Memory Chapel, A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home Sunday, August 25, 1985-2:00 PM. Minister Rev. Willie Doyel and Casket Bearers: Marty Abston, Danny Abston, Randy Morgan, Gary Morgan, Tony Morgan, Tim Morgan and Johnny Wood. Final Resting Place-Abston Family Cemetery. The Abston Family Cemetery is located on the edge of the Abston family farm, this land was set aside for the cemetery.
Ethel Mae Nunn Abston married Charlie Perk Abston 02 August 1926 and they had eight children.
William Alton Abston, Olin Glen Abston, Helen Deloris Abston Morgan, Velma Frances Abston, Marvin Charles Abston, Hazel Marie Abston, Zola Mae Abston, and Rondal Wayne Abston.
Ethel or "Ma" as her grandkids knew her was a very small lady of stature, only standing approximately four foot eleven. She was a lady that did not find anything in life she could not tackle. She loved flowers and had a beautiful Mimosa tree in her front yard that hummingbirds would flock to in the summer.
If you will notice, Charlie and Ethel died seven years apart to the very day.
