Mary was born October 19, 1928 in Beecher City to Michael M. and Goldie Idella (Caldwell) Nosek. She married James Dale Bowen on December 12, 1950 in Louisville. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1997.
During Mary's working years, she was employed at Four Sisters Manufacturing and Flora Pavilion Nursing Center. She was also a member of Red Brush Christian Church.
She is survived by her children: James (JoAnn) Bowen Jr., Allen Ray (Linda) Bowen, Virgil Lee (Paula) Bowen, Debbie (Brad) Halterman, and Patricia (Mike) Polcyn; one sister: Sarah Gill; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: John Richard Bowen, a grandson: Michael Polcyn Jr., three brothers: Joe, Marty, and Norman Nosek, and one sister: Vera Olliver.
A funeral service for Mary Bowen was held at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville.
