From her obituary: During the few months less than 50 years through which Mrs. Beaty last lived in Jasper, her devotion to her family and love for her friends and neighbors has been remarkable and widely appreciated. Her life has been an example of complete and entire unselfishness devoted to the service of her family and community. She became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, south, in her girlhood and has lived a consistent Christian life always.
