OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Republican, Saturday, July 3, 1937:

William L. Northam Dies Friday Night

Rev. William L. Northam, age 72, a long time resident of the Arlington community, expired at his home, four miles southwest of that town, at 10:40 o'clock Friday night. He had been ill several weeks.

Rev. Northam was born in Shelby county March 2, 1865. He had resided in the Arlington community practically all of his life. He was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church of near Arlington. He was a retired minister.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Mable Rhodes of Cambridge Springs, Penn., Mrs. Edna Camp of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Virginia Stikeman of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Walter Northam of San Diego, Calif., and John Northam of Louisville, Ky.; and one brother, Jasper Northam of Rushville.

Funeral services will be held at the Wesleyan Methodist church southwest of Arlington Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
