Marjorie Darlene (Norris) Blohm was born on Tuesday; March 30, 1937, in Eldora; Hardin County, Iowa. She was one of two children born to: Wallace and Florence (Gast) Norris. Marjorie grew up in Eldora and received her education in the Eldora School System. On Tuesday; December 7, 1954, Marge was united in marriage to John Jacobson in Eldora, Iowa. They spent many years living in Ames; Story County, Iowa. Marge worked at Holiday Inn and Hach Chemical Company. Marge and John divorced and she moved to Hubbard; Hardin County, Iowa. On Tuesday; February 16, 1971, Marge was united in marriage to George Blohm in Omaha; Douglas County, Nebraska. They owned, operated and managed stores for Casey's, Inc. She and George also operated a grain business, G & M Blohm, Inc. Marge was a member of Zion UCC in Hubbard, Iowa where she and George served as Z-League leaders. She had served on the Hubbard Medical Center Board, the Park View Village Board, was a Charter member of the Hubbard Care Center Board and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Marjorie Darlene (Norris) Blohm, age 71, went home to her Lord, Jesus on Wednesday; May 14, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer in Hubbard, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her three daughters: Lynn (Larry) Doering of Hubbard, Iowa. Stacey Jacobson and Steve Topp of Radcliffe, Iowa and Kelley (David) Nickell of Altoona; Polk County, Iowa. Her one son: Steven Jacobson of Dubuque; Dubuque County, Iowa. nine grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren. Also nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, husband: George and one son: Michael Jacobson. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday; May 16, 2008 at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday; May 17, 2008 at the Zion United Church of Christ in Hubbard, Iowa. Interment will be in the Hubbard Cemetery also in Hubbard, Iowa.
