Mrs. Elizabeth Fitzsimmons died at her home in the town of Thompson two miles south of Bridgeville, on Monday night last, after a severe illness of about two months duration. She was aged seventy-one years, and was a native of the county Westmeath, Ireland, and came to this country in 1854. Her husband died in October, 1894. She leaves three sons, Jerry, of Lane, Pennsylvania, William and Michael Fitzsimmons, of this town, and two daughters, Mrs. Chas. Barnum and Mrs. Patrick Dunn, of Monticello. She was buried from St. Peter's Roman Catholic church, of which she had been a devoted member for many years, on Thursday, Nov. 17th.
