SHAMOKIN — Arlene A. Adams, 62, of 770 Bear Valley Ave., died 8:50 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Shamokin, Jan. 3, 1952, a daughter of Charles Noll and Anna Williams.
She attended Shamokin Area High School.
Arlene was married in Shamokin, Feb. 11, 1969, to Gary L. Adams, who was by her side during her illness. He survives at home.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband, son and family, including her cat, Beby. She also enjoyed spending time in the back yard gardening.
In addition to her husband, Arlene is survived by a son, Gary Lee Adams Jr. and wife, Tonya, of Shamokin; a grandson, A. J.; three sisters, Helen Arbogast and her husband, William, of Dalmatia, Charlotte Brauer and her husband, Thomas, of Williamstown, and Peggy Angelo, of Coal Township; two sisters-in-law, Connie Derk, of Las Vegas, and Sharon Adams, of Coal Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Adams, of Shamokin, and nieces and nephews.
