Albert Morris NOBLE was a native of Selma, Johnston Co., NC. He married Eleanor MYATT, the daughter of Nathaniel Green & Mary [Woodall] MYATT.
He was the great-grandson of Robert Stuart [1784-1856] & Nancy Stephens [1805-1865] PRIMROSE of New Bern, NC; the grandson of C.S.A Capt. Albert Morris [1823-1903] & Mary Anne Primrose [1826-1916] NOBLE of Selma, NC; and, the 3rd of five children born to Dr. Richard Jordan [1853-1930] & Bettie Devara Moore [1858-1925] NOBLE of Selma, NC.
In 1905, he graduated from the University of NC at Chapel Hill; and, upon succesfully completing the requirements to practice Law in NC, Albert returned to Johnston Co. where he established his Law practice.
During WWI and several years thereafter, Albert & Eleanor lived in American Samoa where Albert served as a Judge for the US Military & Naval forces at the US Naval Station at Pago. While living in American Samoa, their children, Richard J. and Mary P. NOBLE were born.
After fulfilling his military obligation, Albert, his wife, Eleanor, and their children returned to their native NC where he re-established his practice of Law in Smithfield. He was an active volunteer and beloved citizen who consistently contributed his talents to the welfare and prosperity of his native county up until his death in 1962.
