Wife of Charles G. Amendt
Bell lived in her family's home a little west of the Amendt Mill. The Amendts tried in everyway to buy her property. Finally, the only bachelor left in the Amendt family, Charles, married her, and then, the mill obtained the property for expansion. Bell was 85 years old, and still the wife of Charles at the time of her passing. She preceded him in death by about four years. Her father was William Addison Noble. Noble Avenue in Monroe, Mi. is named in honor of her family. The street runs east to west along the high ground of the River Raisin, from N. Dixie to Borgess Avenue.
