Margaret Imogene Lasater 87 of Clinton passed away Thursday February 21, 2008 at Ozark Health Center in Clinton. She was born November 16, 1920 to the late Lester and Esther Godfrey Nixon.
She was a homemaker, widow of George Lasater and a member of Plant Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Peggy King (Charles)Martha Douglas (Ray Dean) both of Judsonia, Brenda Passmore (Bill) and Pam Lasater both of Clinton, step daughter Dalphyne French of Clinton, three sons, Gilbert Lasater (Margaret), Kenny Lasater (Gail) of Clinton and Paul Lasater (Shirley) of Deer, three sisters, Geneva Biagi of Walla Walla, Washington, Beulah Lasater of Richland, WA and Mary Featherston of Kenmore, WA, two brothers, Paul Nixon of Walla Walla, WA and Ray Nixon of Colville, WA. Twenty-one grandchildren, seventeen step-grandchildren, twenty- three great grandchildren and twenty-four step-great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and six step-great great grand-children.
She was preceded in death by a stepson Emmett Lasater, a daughter-in-law Pat, sister Donna Sterlin, two brothers, Lester Carl Nixon and Gary Doyne Nixon.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Lexington Baptist Church with burial in Plant Cemetery: Kirk Hardy and Sam Brown officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
