Mrs. Allen was born Oct. 25, 1914 in Palmetto, daughter of the late William Bland Nixon Sr. and Minnie Mae Edge Nixon. She was a homemaker and a retired bank teller.
Mrs. Allen was a member of Moreland United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Lester Eugene Allen.
A funeral will be held today, Nov., 25, 2000 at 11 a.m. at Moreland United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Whetstone and Rev. Richard Huycke officating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Surviving are her sister, Sara Windham; and sisters-in-law, Mary Nixon and Clyda Nixon. Memorial contributions may be made to the organ fund of Moreland United Methodist Church.
