Edith N. Livingston, 70, Iberia, died Wednesday at Memorial Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Ulman, a daughter of Victor and Lydia Bear Nixdorf. She was married Feb. 16, 1946, to Ellis Livingston, who survives at the home.

She attended Tuscumbia High School and Iberia Junior College and completed her college degree at the University of Minnesota in Duluth. For several years, she worked in homebound teaching. She was a member of Iberia Congregational Christian Church, where she was active in music and sang with The Singables—a women's barbershop group.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Lydia Jean Walters and Martha Livingston, both of Duluth, Minn.; three sons, Frank Livingston, state of California, Tom Livingston, Washington, D.C., and Andy Livingston, Duluth; two brothers, Homer Nixdorf, state of Florida and Paul Nixdorf, Kidder; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Howard Schenk will officiate. Burial will be in Livingston Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday.
