Patsy Cernoch, 76, of Terrell, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Patsy was born August 15, 1938 to Wirt and Leanna Nix in Gray's Prairie, Kaufman County, Texas.
Patsy would receive her Associate degree and work as an LVN all her professional life in the Terrell area. Patsy would work at the Colonial and Renaissance Hospitals for over 20 years. Her quick smile, open heart and compassionate spirit made her a favorite care giver.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Wirt and Leanna Nix; beloved husband, Billy Cernoch; daughter, Julia Cernoch; son Timothy Cernoch; brothers, John W. Nix and Larry D. Nix and sister Doris Hill.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Brother Dick Boyd will officiate. Interment at Oakland Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
