Clarence Elmer Nique, 68, of 246 W. Flint St., died in his home Jan. 26, after a six-month illness.
A retired farmer, Mr. Nique was an Army veteran of World War I.
He was born in Washington, Mich., on Jan 8, 1893, the son of Charles F. and Dora Eulers Nique. He attended school in Goodison and Thomas and was married to Gladys E. Harmon in Oakland Township in 1923.
The Niques have lived in Lake Orion 16 years, moving here from their farm home in Oakland Township.
Mr. Nique is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Edith) McKinney, and a son, Roy, both of Lake Orion; four brothers, Arnold of Goodrich, Park of Pontiac, Ralph of Livonia, and Harvey of Oxford; three grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
Services were held Monday in Allen's Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter C. Ballagh of the First Baptist church officiating. Internment was in Evergreen cemetery.
