Niemeyer was born Oct. 10, 1912, in Rochester, N.Y.
She was one of the founders of Holland & Lyons Mortuary where she was a funeral director from 1967 until her retirement in 1975. While living in Ridgecrest, she was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations.
Following her retirement, she moved to Elko, Nev., with her husband, Bill Niemeyer, where they made their home for a number of years before moving to Pahrump, Nev. After Bill's death in 2001, she moved to Keizer, Ore., to be near her son, Dr. Michael Scorvo.
Niemeyer was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2001 and a sister, Genevieve Corbridge, in 1996.
Niemeyer is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Michael and Vicki Scorvo of Keizer, Ore.;
Grandson, Dr. Sean Scorvo of Bend, Ore.;
Granddaughter, Krista Henderson of Bend, Ore.;
Grandgaughter, Summer Scorvo of Omaha, Neb.;
Great Grandson, Alec Scorvo-Henderson of Bend, Ore.; and
Niece, Diana Freeman of Gowanda, N.Y.
