Betty Elva Bratton, 84, Medford, a former resident of Klamath Falls and Lakeivew, died Dec, 18, 2000 in Medford.

Mrs. Bratton was born March 16, 1916 in Spokane, Wash. to Merle and Bernice Nicodemus. She and her husband, George Bratton Jr., were married June 27, 1937 in Klamath Falls. They lived in Klamath Falls and Lakeview before moving to the Rogue Valley in 1962. She worked as a secretary for her husband at Bratton Packing Co. in Klamath Falls and for Southern Oregon Health Services in Medford before retiring in 1967. Mrs. Bratton was involved in youth-related activities, including the Parents-Teachers Association, the Boy Scouts and the Camp Fire Girls. She was a master duplicate bridge player and a member of the Daughters of the Nile, the Reames Gold and County Club in Klamath Falls and the Rogue Valley Country Club in Medford. She enjoyed sewing, entertaining, golf and reading.

Survivors include her husband George Bratton Jr., of Medford, son George Bratton III of Sunnyvale, Calif., daughters Elva Bratton of Hillsboro and Sally Bratton of Fremont, Calif., seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
