G. Sue Bowman
G. Sue Bowman, 60, of Dallas City, Ill., died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
Born May 8, 1947, in LaHarpe, Ill., she was the daughter of Harley Lonzo and Betty Louise Marsden Nickols. On Dec. 28, 1964, she married Phillip T. "Shorty" Bowman in Carthage, Ill.
Mrs. Bowman was a lifelong resident of Dallas City, where she was a member of Grace Bible Church and the Dallas City chapter of Ducks Unlimited. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, NASCAR and attending races at 34 Raceways.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Phillip "Willie" Bowman of Dallas City; three daughters, Nancy S. Bowman of Aledo, Ill., Kristi Evans of Niota, Ill., and Samantha M. Bowman of Dallas City; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Andrea Arnold and Sharon Kline, both of Dallas City, and Peggy Hoenig and Pam Woodley, both of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild and her parents.
