Martha Crosby was Martha R. Nickerson. She appears in most records as Patty. When Franklin died of consumption in 1852, they were living at Summer Street in East Boston. They were operating a boarding house and he was a machinist by trade. Their daughter Martha, who died in Orleans at age 13, was also called Patty and her middle name was Aston. I can't read the gravestone very well, but it looks like 1843. She died in 1845.
