Mella [sic] Akers
PARIS, Mo. — Mrs. Mella [sic] Akers, 94, of Aurura, Colo., formerly of Monroe County, died at 11:16 a.m. Friday (Dec. 12, 1980) in Aurora.
She was born April 15, 1886 in Monroe County, a daughter of James and Elma Keller Nickells. On Oct. 18, 1908, she married Joseph L. Akers. He preceded her in death Dec. 8, 1948.
She is survived by a son, Elwyn N. of Aurora, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Paris, conducted by the Rev. Charles Schoenlinger. Agnew Funeral Home in Paris is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Paris Christian Church.
