January 19, 1949 ~ April 5, 2012

Sharlee (Nichols) Grimes went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 5, 2012, after a long extended illness. Sharlee was born in Ephrata, WA on January 19, 1949, and moved with her parents to Stemilt Hill, Wenatchee, WA in 1951, where her parents purchased 1800 acres of prime farm land on Jump-off Ridge. She obtained her GED, attended Wenatchee Valley College, where she took welding and computer science, and went on to use her skills in welding on the farm. She worked at the Air Force Recruiting office and was manager for Goodwill Industries in Wenatchee, where she worked for many years, and then became disabled and retired.

Sharlee was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marma Nichols of Wenatchee; her infant son, Timmy; her late husband, Jess Grimes of Wenatchee; and sister, Jean Nichols of Moses Lake. She is survived by her daughter, Gena (Michael) Balser of East Wenatchee; step-daughter, Michelle of Spokane; her special friend, Tim Olinghouse of Ardenvoir; her sisters, Delsa (Dale) Nordin of Omak and Nancy (Charley) Mabes of Wenatchee; grandchildren, Mathew Hoch of Belfair, WA, and Kaylee Balser and Ethan Balser, both of East Wenatchee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nursing staff and Hospice of Central Washington Hospital for their loving, dedicated comfort and care of Sharlee throughout her brief stay.
