Elsie Della Bradshaw of Hood River, fomerly of Bingen, died July 6, 1994; she was 86.
She was born September, 28, 1907 in Peggs, Okla., to Rebecca J.(Musgrave) and James Lester Nichols. She was raised in Oklahoma where she would meet and marry her husband of 45 years John Bradshaw. The couple married in 1923 and by 1943 had moved 10 Bingen where they would live for many years. John died in 1971.
Mrs. Bradshaw, a devout Jehovah's Witness, liked to garden and especially loved flowers.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Nichols.
She is survived by her sons Douglas Bradshaw of Tyler, Tx., and Gerald Bradshaw of Denver, Co.; daughter: Mildred Solari of Portland, and Betty Van Deventer of Underwood; brothers Virgil Nichols of Pyror, Okla., and Clint Nichols of Miami; sisters Dorthy Bradshaw of Denver, Bertha Griggs of Pryor, and Iva Lee Gideon of Leesburg, Fla. She had 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests contributions in her name be given to the Alzheimer's Association c/o Gardner Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bradshaw were held Saturday July 9, at Gardner Funeral Home; Jim Bradshaw officiated the services.
The Gander Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
