Catherine Nichols George, 87, Port Charlotte, died Jan. 12, 2003. She was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Watertown, N.Y. She attended business school and was employed as a secretary for St. Regis Paper Company in Watertown and New York City. She volunteered at the Peace River Wildlife Center in Punta Gorda.
Survivors include a son Frederick W. of New York City; daughters Ann M. of Traverse City, Mich., and Catherine S. "Kip" of Watertown, N.Y.; sister Gladys Burns of Minneapolis; and two grandsons.
There will be no services. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Watertown, N.Y. Forest Lawn Cremation Inc. of Port Charlotte is in charge.
