Barbara Jean Aydelotte passed away at Willow Creek in Clovis, California.
She was born in Fresno to Clarence and Bama Newton.
Barbara graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942, and was a proud member of the Roughrider Marching Band.
It was during WWII that she met her future husband, U.S. Army Air Corps Sergeant Charles Aydelotte, while playing the piano in church. They married in 1944. They had three children, Charlene, Mark and Teri.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was secretary at Memorial Baptist Church. Barbara loved music and served as church pianist for Memorial and Harvard Terrace.
She and Chuck loved morning walks in Woodward Park, her cabin in Wilsonia, and being with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Mabel Shults of Montecito; her daughters, Charlene Schmidt and Teri Varvis; and her son Mark, all of Fresno. She has six grandchildren, Matthew, Rebekah, Elise, Katelyn, Ryan and Nathan.
A Memorial Service will be held at Boice Chapel in Clovis on Thursday, August 31, 2006, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery.
