Mrs. Janie Newton-Brown, at the
Gamaliel Newton Home.

At the Gamaliel - Newton home this forenoon, occurred the death of Mrs. Janie Newton-Brown of Oakesdale, Washington. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Newton, was a graduate of O.A.C. with the class of 1895, and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She was married three years ago to Robert Brown of Oakesdale, where she resided. A month ago she came to Corvallis for a visit with relatives. Her death was occasioned by childbirth. Arrangements for the funeral had not been perfected at the Times press hour.

Newton-Brown Funeral
A large concourse of relatives and friends of the late Janie Newton-Brown, from Philomath and vicinity attended the Obsequies at the Philomath Church and Mt. Union Cemetery last Friday. The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
