Shelvie Jean McNeely 73 of Barboursville formerly of Logan passed away Monday March 8, 2010 at Cabell Huntington in Huntington following a long illness. She was born July 8, 1936 in Logan. She was the daughter of the late Mose and Alice Messer Newsome.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" McNeely,
2 brothers Freelan and Herman Newsome
1 sister Nora Isaacs.

Survivors include
2 daughters Beverly McKinnon of Huntington and Nancy Bryant of West Logan,
2 sons Gary (Drema) McNeely of Cyclone and David (Sue) McNeely of Logan,
1 brother Mose Newsome Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio,
3 sisters Christine Miller, Grace Schuster and Faye Moore all of Cleveland, Ohio,
9 grandchildren,
9 great great grandchildren
many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Justice officiating. Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
