Beloved Langdale
Woman Succumbs
Death came to Mrs. Rube Crowder on Tuesday, November 23, at the Langdale Hospital; removing one of Langdale's most beloved women. She had been ill for a long time but despite this, remained cheerful until the end.
A native of Tallapoosa county, Mrs. Crowder was a member of the Methodist Church in Langdale. She was born February 16, 1905. She is survived by her husband, Two daughter, Mrs. John Hodnett and Miss Joan Crowder; Langdale; a son, Earl Crowder, Langdale; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. W. M. Waller, Shawmut, Mrs. R. A. Blocker, Charlotte, N. c. Mrs. Zera Cdenhead, Shelby, N. C., Mrs. Zelma Turner, Atlanta; two brothers, G. W. Newman, Durham, N. C., and Lee Newman, Columbus, Ga.
Funeral rites were held Thursday, November 25, at the Langdale Methodist Church, the Reverends M. L. Triplett and Melvin Dollar officiating.
Pallbearers were Murray Crowder, Bill Jennings, Danny Crowder, Charles Ingram and Larry Adcock.
Interment was in Langdale Cemetery, Johnson and Company in charge.
