Mary Dean Beckner 97, of Caņon City, died Dec. 20, 2006, in Caņon City. She was born July 25, 1909 to Harvey R. and Sarah L. (Strapp) Nevins in Danville, Ind. She married Raymond M. Beckner Sept. 12, 1926, in Colorado Springs. Beckner moved to Caņon City from Colorado Springs in 1947 and has lived here since. She was a homemaker and longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi, Chapter Alpha Omicron Master.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Dean Bryan of Colorado Springs; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond N. Beckner, son, Raymond N. Beckner and daughter-in-law, Charlotte Beckner.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Wilson Memorial Chapel with funeral service following at 1 p.m., in Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. Contributions may be made to the Hu-mane Society Shelter, 110 S. Rhoades Ave., Caņon City, CO 81212.
