Barbara J. Neville, 80, of Grand Island died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare Lakeview in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis T. Curran officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Grand Island.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Apfel Funeral Home of Grand Island is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Neville was born on Aug. 3, 1925, at York, to John F. and Ruth F. (Underwood) Kaliff.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Ray of Cairo; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Kelly Neville of Morton Grove, Ill., Ken and Janice Neville of Broken Bow, and Tom Neville of Doniphan; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Tom Titcomb of Yellville, Ariz., Barb and Tim Malm of Holdrege, Pat and Mark Van Pelt of Dannebrog, Teresa and Frank Holland of Lincoln, and Pam and Dennis Prichard of Syracuse; and brothers and sister-in-law, Charles L. Kaliff and Jim and Donna Kaliff, all of York.
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Neville received her education at York and graduated from McCool Junction High School in 1942. She received a teaching degree from York College and taught at Maple Grove and Broadwell Country Schools.
She was united in marriage to Ray Neville on Nov. 18, 1947, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in York. The couple farmed near Exeter before moving to Wood River in 1956, where they also farmed. In 1965, they moved Northwest of Cairo where they farmed until their retirement. Barbara was a resident of Lakeview for the past seven years, where she enjoyed playing Bingo.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.
She was a leader in 4-H, on the election board in Cairo, involved in the Alter Society at Church, and she also sold Avon for many years. She enjoyed pictures
and picture albums.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant granddaughter.
