Lucille Neves Boothe, 84, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009, in Houston.
Lucille Neves Boothe was born on July 4, 1924, in Roby. She lived most of her life in Lubbock, later living in Fort Worth and eventually in Houston. Lucille was a loving wife and mother who, after many years as a homemaker, sold Avon products in the Lubbock area. Lucille also participated in the Lubbock County Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Lubbock before moving to Fort Worth. She most recently attended Houston's First Baptist Church where she worked as a volunteer in the preschool ministry. Lucille was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Neves in 1991, and her second husband, Joe Boothe in 2000.
Survivors includer her daughter, Janet Havens of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Sharon Neves of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Lori West and her husband Dane of Katy, Nancy Neves, Clayton Neves of Fort Worth; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 in the chapel at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park located south of Lubbock at Woodrow Exit S. Highway 87.
