June L. Neubert, 87 BELVIDERE - June L. Neubert, 87, of Belvidere died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her children. Born Aug. 30, 1923, in Zeigler, the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Brown) Whitfield. Married Wayne Neubert on Feb. 24, 1945, in San Diego; he died Dec. 30, 2003. During World War II, June contributed to the war effort at an aircraft manufacturing plant as a genuine "Rosie the Riveter." Member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1978. Worked as a shift supervisor for Green Giant for 22 years retiring in 1988. Survivors include her sons, Daniel (Linda) of Byron, Randall of Loves Park and Steven (Lisa) of Phoenix; daughter, Janis Neubert of Belvidere; grandchildren, Ronald, Lisa, Ryan, Jennifer, Jason, Heather, Andrea, Melissa, Autumn, Joseph, Richard, Kienen, Cory, Kelly, Emily and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Nathan, Daniel, Emma, Noah, Abbey, Ella, Hannah, Christina, Kaitlyn and Tommy. Predeceased also by parents; sons, Gary and Kenneth; and brother, Joe Whitfield. Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, in Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Todd Neff officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the church. Arrangements by Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave.
