Gayle J. Anderson, 65, of 12074 116th St., Chippewa Falls, town of Tilden, died Saturday afternoon, February 25, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.
She was born June 11, 1940, in Chippewa Falls to Elizabeth (Campbell) and George Nelson. She grew up in Chippewa Falls, where she attended school.
Gayle married Gaylord E. Anderson on May 3, 1958, at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire. After their marriage they resided in the town of Hallie, moving to the town of Tilden in 1998. She had been employed in food service at the Northern Center for 20 years until her early retirement.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Lake Hallie.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Kellner of Marshfield, Jayne (Mike) Otterson of Colfax and Troy (Paul) Schneider of Chippewa Falls; a son, John Anderson; three sisters, Sylvia (Richard) Westerberg, Veronica (Steve) Christensen and Joyce (Larry) Nazer, all of Eau Claire; four brothers, Mike (Janeen) Nelson of Eau Claire, Jack (Janice) Nelson of Neenah, Gary Nelson of Eau Claire, Dan Nelson of Bruce; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 8, 2005; her parents; and a sister, Angela Nelson in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at Grace Baptist Church, with Pastor Brian Jahn officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Gayle will be remembered by her children and grandchildren for her amazing ability to accept and show unconditional love to all. She had a spirited personality, a great affection for life, and strong Christian values. Anyone in her presence was rewarded by her generosity, kindness and unique sense of humor. Gayle was greatly adored by her grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
