Beverly May Foster, 80, of 193 Jacolyn Dr. NW Apt. 113 died Monday, March 23, 2009 at Living Center West from heart disease. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 50 Edgewood Rd. NW, by Fr. Mark Reasoner. Burial: Atlantic Cemetery. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Beverly is survived by, son, Bob (Deb) Foster of Coralville; two daughters, Marcia (Vinnie) Travi of Abington, Massachusetts and Teri (Jim) Off of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Robert, infant daughter, Mary Margaret and her parents precede Beverly in death.
Beverly was born May 4, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Lyndon and Gladys John Nelson. She married Robert Foster on June 16, 1947 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Beverly lived in Atlantic, Iowa for almost thirty years before moving to Cedar Rapids in 1997.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who had a zest for life that touched many during her lifetime.
The family requests no flowers and would like any memorials be made to the American Heart Association or her parish, St. Jude Catholic Church.
