Mrs. Signe J. Engstrom, 49, 257 Pearl Ave., Loves Park, died at 3:40 p.m. Monday, March 25, 1963, in her home after a lengthy illness.
Born Nov. 1, 1914, in Menominee, Mich. Lived 47 years in Loves Park, coming here from Michigan. Married to Paul H. Engstrom in Loves Park, Dec. 27, 1942. Employed as a secretary by General Electric Credit Corp., the last two years.
Member of Grace Lutheran church, and of Loves Park; and was past secretary of Daniel Post, American Legion Auxiliary; Pink Ladies Auxiliary of Rockford Memorial Hospital; congregational secretary in Sunday School for 37 years; an dmember of Miriam Circle. Graduated from Harlem Hich School and Brown's Business College.
Survivors include: her husband, Paul; her mother, Mrs. Hilda Nelson, Loves Park; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Tracy, Rockford; and a niece and two nephews.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Grace Lutheran Church, Loves Park. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
