Neff, John
1845 - 1906
John Lawrence Neff was the son of John Neff and his wife Anna Margaret Hartman, one of 14 known children. Both parents were from the Hesse Darmstadt region of Germany.
John was born on 21 March 1849 in Sharpsburg. He married Susanna Lott in Allegheny County around the year 1869.
The couple lived in Pittsburgh, then in Sharpsburg, where John labored in one of the local mills.
When he died in Sharpsburg on May 10, 1906, he was 57 years old and suffering from rheumatism.
His parents, John and Margaret, are buried in Mt. Carmel.
