Evan Scott Neese, son of Washington and Matilda Williams Neese, was born March 21, 1874, and departed this life August 31, 1942, at the age of 68 years, 5 months, and 10 days.
He was married November 4, 1887, to Hattie Eliza Kenyon, and to this union were born four children: Ura Boyle, Elma Cloninger, Imo Battershell, all of Nebo, and Elna, who died in infancy.
Besides his loving wife and children, he leaves to mourn, one brother, Phillip, of Nebo, and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Collins of Pleasant Hill.
Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death, namely: Jerome, Johnny, Maggie Whalen, Charity Hack, and Emily Chamberlain.
He also leaves five grandchildren: Donald Boyle, Wilbur and Norman Cloninger, Hazel and Juanita Battershell, several nieces and nephews, and a host of kind friends and neighbors.
