Heinrich died at the age of 81 after a sudden quick illness. He was born in Westerstede Province, Oldenburg, Germany. He was the oldest son of Johann Frederick Neemeyer who was born on Aug. 22nd, 1834 in Hulstede, Germany and died on Oct. 11th, 1910 in Platte County, Nebraska. He was 76. His mother was Helena (Jasper) Neemeyer, she was born Feb. 8th, 1836 in Torshalt, Germany anbd died Feb. 24th, 1893. She was 57. His parents baptised him shortly after birth. He came to America with his parents in 1881, settling on a farm north of Columbus, Nebraska. He was 13 at the time. They sailed over on a ship called the S.S. Leipzig. He attended a Lutheran Parochial School where he was confirmed on May 7th, 1882. He married Caroline Catherine Johannes on October 5th, 1894 in Platte County, Nebraska. She was born: October 5th, 1874 and died: March 27th, 1944. She was born and baptised in Grossenkneten, Germany. They were married 49 years till her death. They were married on her 20th Birthday, He was 6 years older than her and was 26 when they were married. They had 8 children together. One son and one daughter died early in life, Emma was only 7 and Arthur died at age 19. The family moved to Nance County in 1908, and settled on a farm in the rural Timber Creek Township of Nebraska. He had been a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church, holding the office of Deacon for 20 years. After his beloved wife Caroline died, he made his home with his son Otto Neemeyer. He was survived by his six remaining children: Ida Sunderman, Anna Belitz, Frieda Suhr, and Elmer Neemeyer, all of Omaha, Nebraska, and Otto Neemeyer and Mrs. Hellbusche of Scribner, Nebraska. Also survived by: A brother William Neemeyer of Columbus, Nebraska and two sisters, Mrs. Hellbusche of Platte Center, Nebraska and Mrs. Fittje of Platte Center, Nebraska, first names unknown. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
