1917 - 2013

Pauline Brammer, 95 of South Point, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the Heartland of Riverview in South Point.

The Marion, OH., native was born June 14, 1917, the daughter of the late Thomas and Nola Williams Neal.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Brammer whom passed away March 9, 1987.

Mrs. Brammer was a graduate of Kitts Hill Schools and the University of Rio Grande where she recieved her teaching degree. She was a teacher at Dawson-Bryant Schools for more than 30 years. She was also a member of the Windsor Grange, Lawrence County Retired Teachers Association, and the Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church where she played the piano for 17 years.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a step-daughter, Anna Gullett, a sister, Thelma Clutters, a nephew, Tom Clutters.

She is survived by, three step-granddaughters and their spouses, Tammy and Adam Ainsworth of Coal Grove, OH., and Sandy and Phillip Giamarco of Coal Grove, OH., and Cindy and Jerry Amick of Columbus, OH., a step-grandson, Bill Waddle of Coal Grove, OH., a nephew and his wife, Keith and Sue Corbin of Gallipolis, OH., great nieces and nephews, Brian and Amy Corbin, Bailey Corbin, and Kelsey Corbin all of Gallipolis, OH., Lisa Colley, Justin Colley, and Lindsey Colley of Bellefontaine, OH., a special friend, Janie Dillow of Coal Grove, OH.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Leatherwood Cemetery, with Pastor Don Comer officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton.
