Frances Clore Baker, 95, of Linden, Tenn., passed away at 1:10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Perry County Community Hospital in Linden, Tenn.
Born Nov. 6, 1906 in Oldham County, she was the daughter of Perry and Nancy Jane (Smith) Neal.
She retired after 40 years as a special education teacher in Oldham County, Ky. She was a member of Harrod's Creek Baptist Church of Crestwood, Ky., Kentucky Education Association and the National Education Association.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Clore Martin of Linden, Tenn., Marion Miller Oney of Carrollton, Ky., and Helen Baker Pierce of Dunlap, Ill.; 28 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Clore, in 1937; second husband, Edgar Miller, in 1958; third husband, George Baker, in 1992; two sisters; one brother; one step-son, Charles; one daughter, Phoebe Althous; and her parents.
Funeral services will be at Anderson-Poindexter Sandborn Chapel at 10 a.m. on Friday with the Rev. Wayne Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Harrod's Creek Cemetery in Crestwood, Ky.
