Born May 7, 1916 in South Mountain, PA, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Elizabeth (Galloway) Naugle. She lived most of her life in the South Mountain, PA area.
Mrs. Daywalt attended school in Adams County, PA.
She and her husband, the late Mr. Earl P. Daywalt, were married in November 1935 in Hagerstown, MD. They moved to South Mountain following their marriage. He died May 14, 1978. She entered Hearthstone Retirement Home, Waynesboro, February 4, 2000 and the Quincy United Methodist Home October 3, 2003.
Mrs. Daywalt was employed as a nurse's aide at the South Mountain Restoration Center, South Mountain, PA, for 35 years. She retired in 1979.
She was a member of the New Baltimore Church of God, South Mountain, PA.
She is survived by two sons, Earl R. Daywalt, Jr. of South Mountain, PA, and Stephen T. Daywalt of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Wagaman of South Mountain, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Daywalt and Jean Wise; two sisters, Mae Hendricks and Esther Baker; three brothers, Paul Naugle, Bennett Naugle, and Joseph Naugle; and a set of infant twins.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 26, 2003 in the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street Waynesboro, with the Rev. Jackie Kauffman officiating. Burial will follow in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain, PA.
