Marvin was born February 14, 1927 in Milford, the son of William and Geneva Pearl Kirchmann Natschke and they preceded him in death in addition to one sister, Berdella Natschke. He married Gerry Hinrichsen on September 4, 1955 in Watseka and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Diane Natschke of Watseka; one son, Glen Natschke of Danville; one sister, Lois Messman of Laporte, IN; and two brothers, Donald (Barbra) Natschke of Watseka and LaVern (Shirley) Natschke of St. Anne.
Mr. Natschke was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka, Watseka American Legion and was a volunteer fireman and former Woodland Fire Chief for many years. Marvin served in the U.S. Army and was employed at Uarco for many years.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. Rev. Donald Love will officiate. Burial will be at Iroquois Memorial Park in Watseka with military graveside rites by the Watseka American Legion Post #23 and Iroquois County VFW Post #7450.
Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and for 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Calvary Lutheran Church Building Fund or donor’s choice.
