Mrs. Anna Nash Dies At Home
Mrs. Anna Nash, 64, died at her home, 210 First avenue S. W. Friday after a short illness. Mrs. Nash had been a resident of Cascade for a number of years. She was the wife of a Civil war veteran and about a year ago Mrs. Harriet Carter, executive secretary of the Cascade county chapter of the Red Cross, succeeded in obtaining a check for $5,000 from the government for Mrs. Nash as a widow's pension. In addition to this back pension money the government allowed Mrs. Nash $30 per month for the rest of her life. Upon the receipt of this money, Mrs. Nash reimbursed Cascade county with a check for $1,700 to pay for the care the county had given her during the last few years. It is believed that a sister lives in the east, but there are no other known relatives.
