In 1956, Mitzi moved to Texas, and soon married and began raising a family. She loved and enjoyed her family and being a homemaker. Mitzi had a variety of interests that included sketching and painting, sewing, knitting and crochet, reading, cooking, and a love for animals. She loved to work as a book keeper and also caring for children. Proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Jane Thompson, brother Bill Kennett Jr, and her beautiful daughter Lisa Kim Nash.
A deeply loving mother, grandmother and friend to anyone who needed some one like her. And we all do. See you later Nanny, love you!
Mitzi is survived by her long time and loving friend Carl McBride; daughter Tara Lothridge and husband Gary; sons Robert Nash and wife Teresa, Bill Nash and wife Kathy of Weatherford, Chris Nash and wife Monica of Hurst; sisters Carol Ann Borges of San Jose California, Kathy Pitruzuello of Seaside California; daughter in law Vickie Nash Cruse of Lakeland, Florida; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A family memorial gathering will be held March 10, and interment will be March 31, 2009 in Johnson Cemetery in Dennis Texas.
Anyone wishing to send flowers are asked to make donations in Mitzi's name to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
