NAPIER, BILLY E. - age 68, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, April 7, 2003. He attended Berea Baptist Church, was a Veteran of the United States Army, a devoted husband, "daddy", "papaw", skillful carpenter and avid fisherman.
Preceded in death by parents, Alberta and Edgar Napier.
Survived by wife of 45 years, Cora Sue Napier; two children son, Michael E. Napier (wife Linda), and daughter, Sonya Napier Richards (husband, Michael); grandchildren, Jason Napier (wife Jenny), Rebecca Napier Lefevers (husband Burton), Corey Goins, Sarah Napier and Kayla Hensley, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; brothers, Kermit Napier (wife Annette) of Strawberry Plains, Tenn., Sam "Buddy" Napier (wife Mary) of Batavia, Ohio; sisters, Joyce Kittrell (husband Ellis) of Sevierville, Tenn., Judy Baker (husband Charlie) of Arjay, Ky., Esther Napier of Arjay, Ky., and Peggy Cavender (husband Jerry) of Memphis, Tenn., several nieces and nephews, and numerous devoted family members.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Weaver's Chapel, with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m., Brothers Sam Ensor and Samuel Wright officiating. Graveside service, Thursday, April 10, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Bethel Valley Road, Oak Ridge, Tenn.
