Barbara Gordon Nall Anderson of Greensboro, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Barbara was born on July 30, 1937 in New Orleans, LA to Robert Lauren Nall and Effie Grassie Keith Nall. She graduated from Fortier High School in New Orleans in 1955, attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, MO for two years and graduated from the University of Iowa. She married Neil Martin Anderson on June 11, 1960 in New Orleans and moved to Nashville, Tennessee where they raised their two children. Barbara was an active member of the Nashville community, serving as the Tennessee State President of the PEO Sisterhood from 1984-1985. Barbara was a Founding Member of the Nashville Hospital Hospitality House and also served on the Board of the Atlanta Hospital Hospitality House when she and Neil moved there in 1985. In 2000, they moved to Greensboro, Georgia where Barbara was an active member at Lake Oconee Lutheran Church and volunteered with the Greensboro Dreamers for several years. Barbara was a proud member of the Georgia Society of Mayflower Descendants.

Barbara – or Bam as she was called by her family – loved Jesus, spoke her mind, and was the happiest person every day despite many physical illnesses. She loved spending time at their cabin on Lake Burton and on Madeline Island, Wisconsin at her family’s 110-year-old cottage. Bam was a fighter and is survived by her husband of 55 years, Neil; son, Keith Anderson, daughter Sally Anderson Rosenlund (Brad), former daughter-in-law Debbie Anderson, and grandchildren: Stacey Rosenlund Stephens (Patrick), Erin Rosenlund, Sarah Anderson and William Anderson.

The family thanks Betty Jones for her friendship and the great care she has provided.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Lake Oconee Lutheran Church, 1089 Lake Oconee Parkway, Eatonton, GA 31024. Family will receive visitors at 2:00 at the church, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Atlanta Hospital Hospitality House or Lake Oconee Lutheran Church Debt Reduction Fund. A reception in celebration of Bam will be held at the Anderson home following the service. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
