Catherine M. Kuhljuergen, 102, West Point Care Center, died Wednesday, June 1, 1994, at 12:35 a.m. at the care center.
She was born April 14, 1892, at West Point, the daughter of Anton and Anna Horsman Nacke. On Jan 19, 1905, she married Herman H. Kuhljuergen at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point. He died Feb. 12, 1990.
A lifelong resident of West Point, Mrs. Kuhljuergen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church.
Surviving are three daughters, Matilda (Mrs. William) Cooper, Fort Madison, Rita (Mrs. Verl) Shelman, Hillsboro, and Thelma (Mrs. R. E.) Thorton, Lexington, Ky.; one brother Carl Bolte, Chillicothe, Ill.; three sisters, Esther (Mrs. Ed) Jendro, Schaumburg, Ill., Mary (Mrs. George) Siegfried, Niota, Ill., and Ann (Mrs. Ben) Schuster, Chicago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, one brother and one sister.
Friends may call Thursday at Link Funeral Home in West Point, where a Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. followed by a Christian wake service at 7:30 Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Point, with Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
