Joseph W. "Papa Joe" Neal Joseph W. "Papa Joe" Neal 78, of Ravenna passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Born May 21, 1928, in Bluefield, W. VA. to Joseph W. & Jennie (Purdue) Neal, he had lived in Ravenna since 1954. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Ravenna Assembly of God Church. He had worked as a truck mechanic for Cook's Food Service. Survived by his wife Annie (Jones) & children Don (Sharon) Neal of Kent, Rick (Renee) Neal of Ravenna, Vicki (Ron) Smith of Ravenna, 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Sisters Katherine Sellers of FL., Evelyn Caudell & Pauline Burton both of W.VA., Clara Lovelace of S.C., Frances Owens of VA. brother Frank Neal of IN. Preceded by his parents and sister Fannie Hawks. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Shorts Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at 1pm at the Ravenna Assembly of God Church with Rev. Bruno Gladkowski officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
